Multiple full-time open-rank positions
East China Normal University (ECNU) is recognized as one of Shanghai’s top public research universities under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, and is included in China’s national education projects, “Project 211” and “Project 985”.In 2017, ECNU has been ranked “A” level in the national program for building Chinese universities into world class entities. The Faculty of Education positively constructs the modern university system, it has set up Academic Committee, Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, Teaching Committee and Teaching Staff Construction Committee to undertake corresponding academic administration affairs and promote professorate governance. In the 4th China Discipline Ranking, the educational discipline was enlisted “A+” level by the Ministry of Education.
The Institute of Vocational and Adult Education has two disciplines (vocational education and adult education) and a national key base for textbook research (national key base for textbook development and administrative policy research in vocational education). The two disciplines which both offer doctoral programs are early established and of academic influences in China. To promote the development, we invite applications for multiple open rank openings in the area of educational or relevant fields.
Positions:
Professor: 1 for the discipline of vocational education or adult education or national key base for textbook research.
Associate Professor: 1 for the discipline of vocational education, 1 for the discipline of adult education, 1 for the national key base for textbook research.
Zijiang Young Scholar: 2 for the discipline of vocational education, 2 for the discipline of adult education, 2 for the national key base for textbook research.
Required Qualifications:
- Devoted to education career with passion for teaching and academic research and should have the professional ethics;
- Earned doctorate in the required area or closely related fields or had postdoctoral experience in prestigious universities or institutes in China or abroad;
- Evidence of significant contribution to or great potential of scholarship in these fields;
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with others;
- Expertise and experiences to teach core coursework in the relevant area.
Specially,
Professor must be under the age of 50, Associate Professor under 45 and Zijiang Young Scholar under 45.
Applicants for the vocational education discipline and national key base for textbook research are preferred with expertise on areas of vocational education, educational principles, comparative education, higher education, human resource or relevant disciplines.
Applicants for the adult education discipline are preferred with expertise on adult education, educational principles, educational policy, comparative education, higher education, human resource or relevant disciplines.
